Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K

Updated Sept. 4, 2019: According to some early leaks and what appear to be embargo fails, it looks like we've got some refreshed Fire TV Cubes on the way, a new sound bar with Fire TV built in (whodathunkit), as well as some new Fire TV Edition televisions. Please stand by.

This week marks the start of the annual IFA event in Berlin. (Don't ask what IFA stands for — your German isn't that good.) And notable for us in the stream video is space is that Amazon is up to something on Sept. 4. In fact, it's explicitly a Fire TV event.

As for what exactly is going down, well, we don't know. Here's all Amazon has to say about it so far:

The Fire TV team is in Berlin for an event at 7:30 pm CEST 04 September 2019. Stay tuned to this space to watch the news unfold.

And, well, that's it.

But using our powers of deduction (and a handy little online tool because our math isn't great) we can tell you that the Fire TV event will start at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time. That's 10:30 a.m. on the West Coast (the best coast).

As for what we'll see? Who knows. The Amazon Fire TV Cube is a little more than a year old, and we're rapidly approaching the first birthday of the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, which really is the Fire TV device to get these days.

Will that change after tomorrow?

Stay tuned, boys and girls.
