At the end of this month, sports fans will have an all new way to experience Major League Baseball every weeknight. On March 28, ChangeUp will debut as an MLB whip-around show on streaming service DAZN.
DAZN has been steadily adding news sports to the U.S. version of their sports streaming service, which now has loads of boxing, MMA, soccer, cricket, gymnastics and pub sports like darts and pool. This new MLB show is the start of a three year deal between DAZN and the league.
ChangeUp will air every weeknight with live look in coverage and highlights from every game. As first reported by James Andrew Miller, the show will be hosted by Adnan Virk, formerly of ESPN, and it will debut on MLB's full opening day, March 28th. Adnan Virk recently left ESPN under unusual circumstances, but that was all reportedly resolved to allow for this move to be ready in time for the start of ChangeUp. Since this is a totally new program, we can't know for certain what it will be like, but we can use what DAZN and MLB have said as a guide.
ChangeUp is expected to work a lot like the NFL Redzone, jumping between live games to create non-stop action. The show should start just before the first MLB game of the night and stay on air until the last game of the night ends. When there is a break in all of the action, expect the studio host to provide context and highlights, including all of the home runs of the night.
We will be online for the debut to get a feel for ChangeUp, and will let you know what we think. If you'd like to check it out for yourself, you can sign up for DAZN a get a free one month trial.
