So let's get this straight. The Predator is a 2018 spin on one of the best killers of the 1980s. Pieces of a Predator (that was a rejected title for a song from The Cure) are shipped to a kid (or at least his house) from Mexico. He's playing with the parts and either causes a Predator ship to land, or that's where the parts came from in the first place.
It's got Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid's Tale) and Olivia Munn (Olivia Munn) and Sterling K. Brown (This is Us) and Thomas Jane (Badass) and Jake Busey (Son of a Badass) and Edward James Olmos (Capt. Adama) and Keegan-Michael Key (home-mortgage commercial actor) and Alfie Allen (Reek) and some other people.
What it doesn't got is Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers or Jesse Ventura.
What we can't quite tell, yet, is if it's got a plot worth a damn, or if it's just another nostalgia piece that's going to come up short.
Look for The Predator on September 14, 2018.
