Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants opens the broadcast at 4 p.m. Eastern time from Oracle Park, right on the San Francisco Bay. First pitch is at 4:05 p.m., and the pitchers in the matchup are Colorado's Kyle Freeland (1-2 with a 5.40 ERA) and San Francisco's Madison Bumgarner (0-2 with a 3.32 ERA).

Both of these teams have gotten off to rough starts this season. That may not be a big surprise for the Giants, who finished below .500 last year, but the Rockies, who finished 91-72 in 2018, expected better. Colorado has a long list of players on the Injured List, including David Dahl, an outfielder who hit 16 home runs in just 77 games last year. While the Rockies wait to get healthy, they hope to get on the right track against a division rival down in the standings.

San Francisco had a difficult 2018, finishing 73-89 and poor performance has followed them into this year. A big reason why could be the team's quiet offseason, where they made few major moves or signings to change the team. They do have an all new outfield, but it features Steven Duggar, a 25 year old in his second season in the majors, and Tyler Austin, a young journeyman who has been with four different teams in his four seasons up in the show. These players, and the Giants, have work to do before they will be back on the right track.

Oracle Park is one of the best baseball parks in the major leagues, with great views of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco Bay. This park makes this game a must watch in 4K. Here's hoping we get at least one Splash Hit, which is a home run hit into the water of McCovey Cove just beyond the right field edge of the park. Get acquainted with the Cove, and watch someone jump in the water after a ball, in this short clip.
