NFL football games that count have been gone since the Super Bowl in February. With apologies to Joan Jett and Carrie Underwood, we've been waiting half the year for football at night! You can still watch these games even if you've cut cable and taken away its playbook. Let's review the games, and learn how to stream NFL Sunday Night Football if you've cut the cord.

Since 2004, the NFL season has begun with a special NFL Kickoff game. This game is usually held the Thursday after Labor Day, and because NFL TV rights contracts are strange, this Thursday night NFL Kickoff game is part of NBC's "Sunday Night Football".

Sunday Night Football is the marquee game slot of the NFL week, and it usually features the biggest games. The NFL makes the schedule this way because they know this is usually the highest rated of all TV programs each week. Another big reason this game has the best matchups is that starting in week 5, the NFL can flex, or move, great games from Sunday afternoon into Sunday Night Football. If you see only one game each week, make it this one. NBC is the current home of Sunday Night Football.

NBC Sports' Chris Simms and Mike Florio preview 49ers vs. Seahawks, which decides the NFC West division title.

Sunday Night Football for Week 17 has the most important game of the day, as the San Francisco 49ers (12-3) play against the Seattle Seahawks (11-4) at CenturyLink Field in Seattle at 8:20 p.m. Eastern. The winner of this game will win the NFC West division, and very likely also earn a first-round bye. The Seattle Seahawks are amazingly an underdog as an eleven win team at home against a team they've already beaten this season.

In an instant classic Monday Night Football game in week 10, the Seahawks beat the 49ers 27-24 on a field goal as time expired in overtime. Russell Wilson has been outstanding leading the Seahawks air attack, and he has an old friend back on the team in time for this game. Seattle signed running back Marshawn Lynch to help their injured rushing game. Will Beast Mode be enough for the Seahawks to go 2-0 and win their division?

The 49ers may well be the best team in the NFC, yet they find themselves one loss away from playing on the road on Wildcard weekend instead of resting on a bye. The NFC has five teams that have already won ten or more games, so the playoff races are extremely tight. The last thing this team wants after this impressive season is to fly east to play an undeserving NFC East team.

Former Seahawk Richard Sherman is sure to relish the chance to push Seattle into the Wilcard spot instead, and he will have the 49ers defense inspired and ready for a game that will feel like a playoff. Both of these teams may already have qualified for the postseason, but they are sure to play like everything is on the line. The winner of this game will be the home team should they play for a third time this season in January.

You won't want to miss a moment of these NFL games if you are a football fan. Here are your options on how to stream the NFL Kickoff game and Sunday Night Football without cable.
