Another of professional golf's major events tees off this week from Shinnecock Hills in New York. The question, then, is how can you watch the U.S. Open if you've cut the cord.

Pretty easily, as it turns out. The 2018 Men's U.S. Open runs June 14-17 and will aired on Fox and FS1. So it all depends on what streaming service you use, and what channels you have. That's just one option, though — we have others. Let's take a look.

U.S. Open golf over the air on Fox

This year's U.S. Open is ruled by Fox, which of course is broadcast over the air. Whether you can actually receive the channel of course depends on where you live, the surrounding environment, and the kind of antenna you're using. (Outside and higher is almost always better, folks!)

That said, we've got the added complication this year of the 2018 Men's FIFA World Cup starting on Thursday. And that means we're going to a good chunk of the the first two rounds kicked to FS1. More on that down below.

But in the meantime, if you want to watch the U.S. Open over the air on your local Fox affiliate — or streaming, if your service of choice also has local channels — here's when you can do it.

  • Thursday, June 14 at 4:30 p.m. ET
  • Friday, June 15 at 4:30 p.m. ET
  • Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. ET
  • Sunday, June 17 at 10 a.m. ET

U.S. Open on streaming channels

Again, you'll be able to stream the U.S. Open on Fox at the times listed above, if your streaming service of choice carries a live Fox broadcast. Some services do, some don't. And even then it will vary by location.

For example: Where I live, the only service that carries my local Fox affiliate is YouTube TV and Hulu Live. But depending on where you are, you might also be able to get it on Sling TV, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue and others.

(Yeah, it's kind of a mess, and that's where an over-the-air antenna comes in.)

For everything on FS1, though, you're probably covered. Here's where all you'll be able to watch those rounds.

As for when you'll be watching on FS1, here's how that breaks down:

  • Thursday, June 14 at 9:30 a.m. ET
  • Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. ET
  • Sunday, June 17 at 8 a.m. (third-round replay)

And that's that. Again, you're looking for the U.S. Open on live Fox affiliates, and on FS1. And of course you'll be able to get more from the U.S. Open website, and the U.S. Open app on Android and on iOS.
