The only thing better than a good rumor is a good confirmation, and today we have it from the man himself: The Expanse — just weeks after its cancellation on Syfy — is coming to Amazon. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, dropped the news at the International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles.
(If you're lacking context here, Bezos also leads Blue Origin, a private spaceflight company that is working to make space travel a routine, common experience.)
The announcement was caught on Twitter by "astronaut teacher" Mike Mongo after days of speculation, with Bezos saying simply, "The Expanse is saved."
