Upgrade to 4K with Vizio's M-Series Quantum 65-inch Smart TV on sale for $670

The Vizio M658-G1 M-Series Quantum 4K smart TV is down to $669.99 at Best Buy. The same 4K TV normally sells for around $750. While this model has sold out at some places like Amazon while Vizio prepares to launch a new 2020 lineup, you can find it at the discounted rate at other retailers like Walmart .

There is also a 70-inch version on sale today. You can save $100 off the price of the 70-inch M706-G3 TV , but it's important to understand the difference between these two sets. They are both part of the M Series Quantum lineup, but the model numbers mean very different things. Vizio broke the series up into M6, M7, and M8 numbers where the 6-8 refer to the third number (M65 8 or M70 6 ). Yes, it is confusing! The models that end with 8 are significantly better in terms of quality. So while the 70-inch version might seem like the better deal, you're giving up 600 nits of brightness for 400 and 90 local dimming zones for 12 just to gain five inches on the size. Those two features hugely impact 4K and HDR content and you will notice the difference.

The M-Series Quantum is a great series, though, no matter which TV you decide to go with. It has a sleek, modern design and tons of great features. You'll get 4K resolutions and good support for HDR content through Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.

there's a Chromecast built in so you can access all your favorite streaming apps, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime VIdeo, and others. Vizio even has its own service called WatchFree that gives you access to over 150 channels with free TV... and that includes live TV like news and sports.

Plus, it works with Apple AirPlay so you can use your Apple device to wirelessly mirror content like web sites and presentations. Use your voice to control the TV with Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple's Siri. Do even more with Apple HomeKit, controlling the TV from your Apple Home app.
