Bellator 218 Sanchez vs Karakhanyan II info box

MMA fans can look forward to a big weekend coming up, with major promotion events both Friday and Saturday. First up is a rematch of a classic match that went to the judges cards two years ago. See the sequel on Friday, March 22 as Emmanuel Sanchez faces Georgi Karakhanyan in Bellator 218 streaming live on DAZN.

Bellator 218 is broadcasting live from the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, OK. The Prelims start at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time, and the Main card, featuring the Sanchez vs Karakhanyan rematch, starts at 9 p.m. Eastern time. The full card will be streaming on DAZN, but if you have a live streaming service with The Paramount Network, the Main Card will be available there as well.

Emmanuel "El Matador" Sanchez (17-4) is a strong fighter in a few difficult situations. He is coming off a loss in his challenge of Featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull by unanimous decision. Sanchez was looking to rebound with a scheduled bout against Ashleigh "The White Wolf" Grimshaw. Two weeks before that fight, Grimshaw was removed from the fight with no explanation, and abruptly replaced with Georgi Karakhanyan, according to Cage Side Press. All Emmanuel Sanchez can do is fight the foe that ends up in front of him.

Georgi "Insane" Karakhanyan (27-8-1) has had a long career, but with a rocky last few years. While his overall record is good, he is 4-4 with a no contest over his last nine fights. He briefly left Bellator a year ago, and this fight will mark his return to the larger Promotion. Before Karakhanyan left Bellator, he lost to Emmanuel Sanchez in their first fight by a majority decision. With such a close decision, and one judge who scored the first fight as a draw, Georgi has reason to believe even a small improvement could be all he needs. Check out the promotional video from Bellator to get up for the fight.

Bellator 218 also features a Co-Main Event between Heavyweight fighters, as Valentin Moldavsky (7-1) faces Linton Vassell (18-7). The rest of the full card, subject to change, follows
