HBO has long been a network regarded for some having the best TV series, but they've expanded their output with a slate of shows for its streaming service, Max

From dramas to docuseries, many Max original series have been praised by both reviewers and audiences — particularly for shows like The Flight Attendant, Hacks, Julia, Our Flag Means Death, The Staircase, Tokyo Vice and more.

In addition to developing the original slate, some of these series were picked up by Max after originally airing elsewhere originally or are co-productions with other networks, but they've found a home on the streaming service.

If you want to know every Max original series available on the streaming service right now, as well as what is coming, we've compiled a complete list for you. Of course, you'll need to be a subscriber to Max to watch any of these shows.

NOTE: In 2022/2023, HBO Max did begin removing some of its original content from the streaming service, so if a show you remember being an HBO Max original is not listed below, it is because it is no longer on the platform.
