No two ways about it, folks. We're running out of things to watch on television. Never mind live, linear TV. Never mind all the streaming nextworks. Never mind YouTube. We've seen it all already. Shut down the internet.

But ... The good news is that they're still making more new shows. Or at least they did before the world shut down. And that means there's new shows and movies coming to Amazon Prime Video in April 2020. And even more when you take Amazon Prime Video Channels under consideration.

So maybe there aren't any sports for the foreseeable future. Maybe we're all going to go just a little crazy in meantime. But at least we'll have something to watch in the process.

Here's what's coming up on Amazon Prime Video in April, starting with the Amazon Originals.

  • Tales from the Loop: From executive producer Matt Reeves and based on the acclaimed art of Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag, Tales from the Loop explores the town and people who live above "TheLoop," a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction. In this fantastical mysterious town poignant human tales are told that bare universal emotional experiences while drawing on the intrigue of genre storytelling. The series stars Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Town), Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation), Daniel Zolghardi (Eighth Grade), Duncan Joiner (Waco) and Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes, Game of Thrones). Tales from the Loop is from Fox21 Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with 6th & Idaho and Indio Studio. The series was created by Nathaniel Halpern, who wrote all eight episodes, and also serves as executive producer alongside Mark Romanek, Matt Reeves, Adam Kassan, Rafi Crohn, Mattias Montero, Samantha Taylor Pickett, Adam Berg, and Simon Stålenhag. Available in UHD and HDR. Streaming April 3
  • Bosch: In season 6 of Bosch, after a medical physicist is executed and the deadly radioactive material he had with him goes missing, Detective Harry Bosch finds himself at the center of a complex murder case, a messy federal investigation, and a catastrophic threat to Los Angeles — the city he's pledged to serve and protect. Available in UHD and HDR. *Streaming April 17**
  • Les Misérables: An Academy Award-nominated film, inspired by the 2005 riots in Paris, Les Misérables (2019) (directed by Ladj Ly) follows Stéphane (Damien Bonnard), a recent transplant to the impoverished suburb of Montfermeil, as he joins the local anti-crime squad. Working alongside his unscrupulous colleagues Chris (Alexis Manenti) and Gwada (Djebril Zonga), Stéphane struggles to maintain order amidst the mounting tensions between local gangs. When an arrest turns unexpectedly violent, the three officers must reckon with the aftermath and keep the neighborhood from spiraling out of control. Available in UHD and HDR. Streaming April 10
  • Invisible Life: Invisible Life (2019) takes place in Rio de Janeiro, 1950. Eurídice, 18, and Guida, 20, are two inseparable sisters living at home with their conservative parents. Although immersed in a traditional life, each one nourishes a dream: Eurídice of becoming a renowned pianist, Guida of finding true love. In a dramatic turn, they are separated by their father and forced to live apart. They take control of their separate destinies, while never giving up hope of finding each other. A tropical melodrama from the director of Madame Satã. Available in UHD and HDR. Streaming April 3
  • Selah and the Spades: Originally premiering at Sundance Film Festival, Selah and the Spades (2019) follows the five factions that run the underground life of the prestigious Haldwell boarding school. At the head of the most powerful faction —— The Spades —— sits Selah Summers. By turns charming and callous, she chooses whom to keep close and whom to cut loose, walking the fine line between being feared and loved. Available in UHD and HDR. Streaming April 17
