What’s new on Disney Plus?
May brings a number of treats to Disney Plus, many of which are sure to be must-watches for music lovers. The Beach Boys documentary is billed as a “celebration of the legendary band;” Camden* will reveal how the titular corner of London has influenced all kinds of top musicians; and Peter Jackson is following up his eight-part 2021 Beatles docuseries Get Back with a restoration of Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s 1970 movie, Let It Be, which documents the band as they record their final album.
Plus, US subscribers can look forward to seeing Ncuti Gatwa take over as the 15th Doctor for Doctor Who season 14, whilst UK fans have more great shows like Shardlake and Welcome to Wrexham season 3 coming their way (both available on Hulu in the US).

Best Movie on Disney Plus in May: Let It Be (May 8)
Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s 1970 documentary Let It Be captured the Beatles’ recording sessions for their final album and was originally released just one month after the beloved band confirmed they’d be going their separate ways.
After falling out of circulation for decades, the movie has been restored by Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post Production team, giving viewers another chance to experience this pivotal moment in music history.
Best TV Show on Disney Plus in May: Doctor Who (May 10, US only)
Disney Plus has become the de-facto home of Doctor Who outside of the UK, and this new season is being hailed as a “new era” for the long-running sci-fi show.
Together with his new companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), the Doctor will be setting off for a new series of adventures across time and space this May, facing down all manner of foes including, ominously, the Doctor’s most powerful foe yet.
